Casey Heynes was suspended for protecting himself. Do you think this is fair, why or why not?

    Of course not.
Why didn't the kid who started this get suspended?
Were they going to wait for Casey to get a black eye to give the short kid a suspension?
If i was Casey, beating that kid up would totally be worth the suspension and i'm LOL'ing at the nerd who came up to Caseys face saying, "Fuck you!", over and over.
    Lol.
That little shit deserved what he got.
    Go Casey!

Definitely not, from personal experience (getting into a fight in school) as long as the kid hits you first, you should be able to do whatever you want, as long as its not 'extreme', to stop him

Look at how old these kids are
Do you seriously believe they could get a firearm in their possession and successfully use it to kill someone? And telling by their accents, they sound European. European gun violence is much less than in the United States
And besides, there is a point, if you're unarmed, where your opponent can only go so far before passing out from damage inflicted so I highly doubt these children will be able to kill each other just from unarmed fighting

    They didn't have european accents.
And just because some of them did doesn't mean they were european.
If i saw a school where a few kids have an italian accent
Would i deduce that the whole school is italian or has an italian accent?
    I think not.
And there have been many school shootings.
Where children aquired guns from a person selling it or stole it from their parents.

Nope, the smaller kid started it so he should have been suspended, not Casey. Casey obviously did the right thing, taking matters into his own hands at that very moment. Who knows what kind of other shit the skinny kid would have thrown in Casey's face? If I were in his place I would have done the same to that bully.

No, the kid shouldnt be suspended. As people know if someone threatens you, YOU can do anything to them as a "Lawful act of Self-Defense." The only reason Casey was suspended was that they weren't in USA so they don't have a rightful law of self defense.

No way. Although this is probably more common then we think. (The person who started it getting treated as the victim and the person who defended themselves the instigator) and as a result the innocent gets unjust punishment due to the crappy school system which screws us on way or the other. This kid (not Casey) defiantly got what he deserved. This has happened to me before but as I am not strong or have the 'strength' to stand up for myself in this situation the other person walked away with a slap on the wrist and that was it.

Didn't watch the vid...assuming it's the one on my local news...is it a small kid picking on a bigger kid, then the bigger kid flips out and smashes the bully's head into the ground wrestlemania style?

He should be given the school's award for Self-confidence rather than a suspension

To some extent, i believe yes. Not to be a prick but i think it was a bit excessive the way the victim body slammed the bully. I think a punch or two would have sufficed.

I never said that, I said European. And regardless of that fact, I referred to the kids in the video; not the entire school "-.-
You can't assume children have access to firearms at home and also that someone would actually sell a firearm to a child as young as he is even if somehow he got the money to buy one.

You do know adults sometimes sell guns to children in middle school in a secret place in case they ever want to "take care" of someone.

    1) How is he/she going to afford that firearm?
    2) How is he even going to find someone that would be willing to sell him a firearm?
    3) How is he going to even possible raise up a fully loaded weapon with the intention to kill without the other guy noticing and trying to disarm him. In this case, do you think that child could raise a fully loaded firearm, aim it steadily to the point where he can confidently pull the trigger without missing and especially before the other guy disarms him?
