18 in 2 days!

So im turning 18 in 2 days, August 12...
And on Tuesday the 14th, i have an appointment at the California DMV to get my resident ID.
So what I am planning on doing is getting a Medical Marijuana card
What do you 18+ folks say? I am getting my Rec for 25 bucks! And thats a steal because mainly at doctors office its around 40-60 bucks for a Medical card..

update: i got my id card and went to the doctor and paid 49 bucks but i have a coupon to get 19 bucks back so yeah. i went to the doctor he asked questions but before seeing the doctor i filled out paperwork. so then on my way out they gave me a certificate that sais i am allowed to posses marijuana and cultivate it in the california. it is valid for 1 year and it is legit.

if you go and buy pot from 1 of those stores, they put your licence, your med card, and something else into a system so if anything happens to you. they can pin it back to it.
