Nope... Its only 684$ and my dad is paying for it
Estimated completion time is 2-3 weeks due to we have to file our tax returns to get the money to buy it...

I was going to get the i5 2500K but then i saw these new AMD FX's and due to the reviews they are pretty good and have the same amount of cores and a faster base speed for about 100$ less.

Justin I ahve AMD, They suck after 1 year they start to open heat and its a pain in the ass trust me I had to buy a New processor so my computer runed smoothly again...

That is your own opinion and probably a tiny problem only you have...

I have AMD and have had my desktop for around 4 years no problem...

I actually just got 2 new processors for my many computers and I have the same one he picked and the 8 core

They both are great.

EDIT: I put the wrong motherboard up there... Im getting an AM3+ supported motherboard.

What size case do you want? and what style?

Wait.. are you reusing any parts? Because you left out hard drives, a power supply, disk drives, and a heat sink.

That's bullshit, you have possiblehave applied a bad type of thermal paste, no thermal paste, the cooler might be loose or you can have applied the thermal paste wrong. There are many possibilities for your problem but you seems to hold on to that as an argument for not buying AMD.

Then i must say that an AMD processor runs just as cool as any Intel processor, all that matters is that the cooling solution is good enough and properly mounted.

Ive used both Intel and AMD for years (i got at least one of every commercial socket from the last 10 years), and i must say that AMD is the most bang for the buck. While Intel is overpriced but has the most powerful processors at the moment.

But in this case since OP is building on a tight budget he should go for AMD in my opinion.

The stuff is not really compatible, good idea though
