Feedback Score 2 (100%) OK i am gonna teach you how to make one the first image into the second one.
The image you select will be alot easier to work with if you have a white background
to
Steps
1. Ok you can always make a couple extra duplicate layer just in case you mess up
2. Now go to the layer options and change the settings to colordodge (i messed up in the screen shot but its colordodge)
You should now have something similar to this
3. Now press (Ctrl+I) To invert the image.
4. Now your gonna go to (Filter>Blur>Gaugasian Blur) and just mess aroudn wit it until you have a look you like.
5. Now we need the black and white look.
so go to the white/black circle thing and go to hue/saturation or colorize.
Set the saturation all the way down
END RESULT:
Step 6. optional
If you ant some color like i did u can do this
Check colorize on the hue saturation box and just mess around with it
Then you can save it as .gif or .jpeg i recommend those.
striker recommends ".png has much better quality than .jpeg or .gif."

Looks like you just copy-pasted the whole tutorial here, because apparently there are supposed to be images included from the steps of that tutorial.
You only have one pic, a starter pic, and not even a result pic.
So far this is a nominee for the crappiest tutorial of the interwebs.
Oh, and save the .gif format for animated images.
Plus, you called that guy a dick who said thanks.

And that guy was a blatant spammer in other posts. Odds are he c+p'd that exact response to every post he made, just so that he could get into the user accounts section.
