    Default Big Bang Assassin Guide

    Start of Skill Builds
    Hey everyone!

Since Big Bang hit MapleStory less than a week ago, I've seen quite a bit of threads in the Thief section for the Skill Builds for Assassins/Hermits/Night Lords. After much research on skills and how they were changed I think I've come up with a few decent skill builds for us. There are some skills that will not be maxed and some new ones that won't be maxed at all. I will do a Level by Level skill layout so that everyone can know exactly what level to start raising the right skills if they have messed up. Now, shall we begin?

    First Job(Rogue) : Level 10 to 30
A fairly easy, simple skill build for those who are just starting the Night Lord journey.

Skill Build #1: The Lucky Seven First build.

    Level 10: Lucky Seven +1 [1]
    Level 11: Lucky Seven +3 [4]
    Level 12: Lucky Seven +3 [7]
    Level 13: Lucky Seven +3 [10]
    Level 14: Lucky Seven +3 [13]
    Level 15: Lucky Seven +3 [16]
    Level 16: Lucky Seven +3 [19]
    Level 17: Lucky Seven +1 [20] , Nimble Body +2 [2]
    Level 18: Nimble Body +1 [3] , Keen Eyes +2 [2]
    Level 19: Keen Eyes +3 [5]
    Level 20: Disorder +3 [3]
    Level 21: Dark Sight +3 [3]
    Level 22: Dark Sight +3 [6]
    Level 23: Dark Sight +3 [9]
    Level 24: Dark Sight +1 [10] , Nimble Body +2 [5]
    Level 25: Nimble Body +3 [8]
    Level 26: Nimble Body +3 [11]
    Level 27: Nimble Body +3 [14]
    Level 28: Nimble Body +3 [17]
    Level 29: Nimble Body +3 [20]
    Level 30: Disorder +3 [6]

    In the end:
    Nimble Body: MAX
    Keen Eyes: MAX
    Disorder: 6
    Dark Sight: MAX
    Lucky Seven: MAX
    Double Stab: 0

Reason: Since L7 is your main attacking skill from 10-120 it's almost a sure thing that you should max it straight away. After that you can max Keen Eyes to increase your throwing range so you're not kissing the monster every time you attack. Lasly, Dark Sight for quicker mobility around Maps without being hit and Nimble Body to increase Accuracy and Avoidability.

Skill Build #2: Thanks to SilverStrato for this build.
    Level 10: Lucky Seven +1 [1]
    Level 11: Nimble Body +3 [3]
    Level 12: Keen Eyes +3 [3]
    Level 13: Keen Eyes +2 [5] , Lucky Seven +1 [2]
    Level 14: Lucky Seven +3 [5]
    Level 15: Lucky Seven +3 [8]
    Level 16: Lucky Seven +3 [11]
    Level 17: Lucky Seven +3 [14]
    Level 18: Lucky Seven +3 [17]
    Level 19: Lucky Seven +3 [20]
    Level 20: Disorder +3 [3]
    Level 21: Dark Sight +3 [3]
    Level 22: Dark Sight +3 [6]
    Level 23: Dark Sight +3 [9]
    Level 24: Dark Sight +1 [10] , Nimble Body +2 [5]
    Level 25: Nimble Body +3 [8]
    Level 26: Nimble Body +3 [11]
    Level 27: Nimble Body +3 [14]
    Level 28: Nimble Body +3 [17]
    Level 29: Nimble Body +3 [20]
    Level 30: Disorder +3 [6]

    In the end
    Nimble Body: MAX
    Keen Eyes: MAX
    Disorder: 6
    Dark Sight: MAX
    Lucky Seven: MAX
    Double Stab: 0

~NOTE~As far as I know, there's almost no other way people raise their skill points. If someone has raised them differently, PM me with how you raised it each level and the reasoning of why you did what you did, and I'll add the build into here.~NOTE~

    Second Job(Assassin) : Level 30 to 70
Congrats! You have officially made it to the rank of Assassin! Now, you will receive a brand new skill set and a new build as well!

Skill Build #1: The average Assassin Skill build.

    Level 30: Claw Mastery +1 [1]
    Level 31: Claw Mastery +2 [3] , Critical Throw +1 [1]
    Level 32: Critical Throw +3 [4]
    Level 33: Critical Throw +3 [7]
    Level 34: Critical Throw +3 [10]
    Level 35: Critical Throw +3 [13]
    Level 36: Critical Throw +3 [16]
    Level 37: Critical Throw +3 [19]
    Level 38: Critical Throw +3 [22]
    Level 39: Critical Throw +3 [25]
    Level 40: Critical Throw +3 [28]
    Level 41: Critical Throw +2 [30] , Claw Mastery +1 [4]
    Level 42: Claw Mastery +1 [5] , Claw Booster +2 [2]
    Level 43: Claw Booster +3 [5]
    Level 44: Claw Booster +1 [6] , Haste +2 [2]
    Level 45: Haste +3 [5]
    Level 46: Haste +3 [8]
    Level 47: Haste +3 [11]
    Level 48: Haste +3 [14]
    Level 49: Haste +3 [17]
    Level 50: Haste +3 [20]
    Level 51: Claw Mastery +3 [8]
    Level 52: Claw Mastery +3 [11]
    Level 53: Claw Mastery +3 [14]
    Level 54: Claw Mastery +3 [17]
    Level 55: Claw Mastery +3 [20]
    Level 56: Shadow Resistance +3 [3]
    Level 57: Shadow Resistance +3 [6]
    Level 58: Shadow Resistance +3 [9]
    Level 59: Shadow Resistance +3 [12]
    Level 60: Shadow Resistance +3 [15]
    Level 61: Shadow Resistance +3 [18]
    Level 62: Shadow Resistance +2 [20] , Claw Booster +1 [7]
    Level 63: Claw Booster +3 [10]
    Level 64: Claw Booster +3 [13]
    Level 65: Claw Booster +3 [16]
    Level 66: Claw Booster +3 [19]
    Level 67: Claw Booster +1 [20] , Drain +2 [2]
    Level 68: Drain +3 [5]
    Level 69: Drain +3 [8]
    Level 70: Drain +3 [11]
    In the end
    Claw Mastery: MAX
    Critical Throw: MAX
    Claw Booster: MAX
    Haste: MAX
    Shadow Resistance: MAX
    Drain: 11

Reason: First off, who doesn't want to see the high hitting critcals asap? I know I did when I was a beginnning Assassin. Next, Claw Booster to 6 so that you have a minute of attacking faster and it's not a pain to re-do all the time. Haste is a huge must next because you'll get across maps in a flash now. Maxing Claw Booster after Haste will let you control Haste+Booster is one swift movement(If you have it on a Macro) and you don't have to constantly watch both. Shadow Resistance for the extra HP boost and Elemental resistance helps against monsters. Raising Claw Mastery last to add the extra amount of throwing stars and for next job when you get Avenger. Drain will be left at 12 for now due to the fact it isn't used much at this time.

~NOTE~The same thing with the 1st Job Skills. If you used a different skill build tell me what you raised for each level and the reasoning behind it and I'll add it in.~NOTE~

    Third Job(Hermit) : Level 70-120
Well, you've made it to third job! You'll receive a brand new skill set and with a new skill set comes......another skill build! Yay! There are two builds that I know of for Hermits. They are the Traditional/Max-SP-First. Each will come out with the same skills at 120 so just choose and follow the guide.

    Level 72: Shadow Partner +3 [6]

    Level 74: Shadow Partner +3 [12]

    Level 118: Drain +3 [16]

    In the end
    Alchemist: MAX
    Meso Up: MAX
    Shadow Partner: MAX
    Shadow Web: MAX
    Shadow Meso: 2
    Avenger: MAX
    Flash Jump: MAX
    Dark Flare: MAX

Reason: Shadow Partner you will use for the rest of your career so you might as well max it asap. Avenger is your first mobbing skill which is GREAT so get that next. Flash Jump for faster travel, Alchemist so your pots heal more and Atk pots last longer, Meso Up for greater Meso drops from monsters(Highly underrated skill that is amazing.), Dark Flare for when you start bossing next job and Shadow Web just for the heck of it. Also, with left over skills from the end of the levels of 3rd job, max either Booster or Drain with 9 SP and put the other two points in whatever you want.

    Traditional Skill Build #2: (Alchemist)

    Level 70: Avenger +1 [1]
    Level 71: Shadow Partner +3 [3]
    Level 72: Shadow Partner +3 [6]

    Level 95: Flash Jump +3 [16]
    Level 96: Flash Jump +3 [19]
    Level 97: Flash Jump +1 [20] , Meso Up +2 [2]
    Level 98: Meso Up +3 [5]
    Level 99: Meso Up +3 [8]

    Level 111: Shadow Web +3 [4]
    Level 112: Shadow Web +3 [7]
    Level 113: Shadow Web +3 [10]

    Level 115: Shadow Web +3 [16]
    Level 116: Shadow Web +3 [19]
    Level 117: Shadow Web +1 [20] , Drain +2 [13]
    Level 118: Drain +3 [16]
    Level 119: Drain +3 [19]
    Level 120: Drain +1 [20] , Shadow Mesos +2 [2]

    In the end
    Alchemist: MAX
    Meso Up: MAX
    Shadow Partner: MAX
    Shadow Web: MAX
    Shadow Meso: 2
    Avenger: MAX
    Flash Jump: MAX
    Dark Flare: MAX

Reason: Once again, Shadow Partner because it's your main Attacking skill. Getting Avenger to five to get one Flash Jump is also very helpful for mobbing and mobility. Then, start on Alchemist for pot use. After that, take back up Avenger and then Flash Jump and max them both. Then, go onto Meso Up/Dark Flare/Shadow Web and you'll be at 120 in no time at all.

    Fourth Job(Night Lord) : 120-200
Wow, you've made it to 4th job. I'm so proud of you. It seems like only yesterday you were reading up on my Rogue skill list... Anyways, let's dive right into the skills. You'll receive all the skills you need in 4th job. Unlike Pre-BB you will not need to do the quests to gain these skills. There are two types of Builds for 4th job. The Training and Bossing builds. I'll cover both.

    Skill Build #1: (Training)

    Level 120: Triple Throw +1 [1] , Shadow Stars +1 [1] , Venomous Star +1 [1]
    Level 121: Triple Throw +3 [4]
    Level 122: Triple Throw +3 [7]
    Level 123: Triple Throw +3 [10]
    Level 124: Triple Throw +3 [13]
    Level 125: Triple Throw +3 [16]
    Level 126: Triple Throw +3 [19]
    Level 127: Triple Throw +1 [20] , Venomous Star +2 [3]
    Level 128: Venomous Star +3 [6]
    Level 129: Venomous Star +3 [9]
    Level 130: Venomous Star +1 [10] , Shadow Stars +2 [3]
    Level 131: Shadow Stars +2 [5] , Venomous Star +1 [11]
    Level 132: Venomous Star +3 [14]
    Level 133: Venomous Star +3 [17]
    Level 134: Venomous Star +3 [20]
Level 135: Venomous Star +3 [23] OR if you canít get the skill book go into Expert Throwing Star Handling +3 [3]

Depending on your funding you can Max Triple Throw asap by buying the skill book. If you do max TT at 30, max MW too. Then continue with Venom, Shadow Shifter, Expert Throwing Star Handling and Shadow Stars in that exact order.
If you can't max TT at 30, don't go for max MW too. Continue with Venom, Shadow Shifter, Expert Throwing Star Handling and Shadow Stars.
    Skill Build #2: (Bossing)

    Level 120: Triple Throw +1 [1] , Shadow Stars +1 [1] , Venomous Star +1 [1]
    Level 121: Triple Throw +3 [4]
    Level 122: Triple Throw +3 [7]
    Level 123: Triple Throw +3 [10]
    Level 124: Triple Throw +3 [13]
    Level 125: Triple Throw +3 [16]
    Level 126: Triple Throw +3 [19]
    Level 127: Triple Throw +1 [20] , Shadow Stars +2 [3]
    Level 128: Shadow Stars +2 [5] , Shadow Shifter +1 [1]
    Level 129: Shadow Shifter +3 [4]
    Level 130: Shadow Shifter +3 [7]
    Level 131: Shadow Shifter +3 [10]
Level 132: Shadow Shifter +3 [13] OR if you canít get SS 20 go into Venomous Star +3 [4]
Level 133: Shadow Shifter +3 [16] OR if you canít get SS 20 go into Venomous Star +3 [7]
Level 134: Shadow Shifter +3 [19] OR if you canít get SS 20 go into Venomous Star +3 [10]
Level 135: Shadow Shifter +3 [22] OR if you canít get SS 20 go into Venomous Star +3 [13]

Once again, depending on funding you can max TT asap by buying the skill book. If you do max TT at 30, max Shadow Shifter next followed by Expert Throwing Star Handling and lastly Shadow Stars. Then, start saving money for MW 20/30 to finishing your bossing build. Start adding points into Venom and then experiment with other skills following that.
Skill Build #3: (Bossing) Credits to Dodging .
    Level 120: Triple Throw +1 [1] , Shadow Stars+1 [1] , Venomous Star +1 [1]
    Level 121: Shadow Shifter +1 [1] , Triple Throw +2 [3]
    Level 122: Triple Throw +3 [5]
    Level 123: Triple Throw +3 [8]
    Level 124: Triple Throw +3 [12]
    Level 125: Triple Throw +3 [15]
    Level 126: Triple Throw +3 [18]
    Level 127: Triple Throw +2 [20] , Maple Warrior +1 [1]
    Level 128: Maple Warrior +3 [4]
    Level 129: Maple Warrior +3 [7]
    Level 130: Maple Warrior +3 [10]
    Level 131: Maple Warrior +3 [13]
    Level 132: Maple Warrior +3 [16]
    Level 133: Maple Warrior +3 [19]
    Level 134: Shadow Stars +3 [4]
    Level 135: Shadow Stars +1 [5] , Expert Throwing Star Handling +2 [7]
    Extra Notes from Dodging

Dodging: Get 1 point in shadow shifter early on (lv121), 16% avoid rate is pretty high.
Venom is not very useful, and itís almost pointless in a training build. When training you almost always kill the monster fast enough before venom can have any worthwhile effect. On a bossing build, the extra damage is minimal unless you spend a whole 30 SP in it (with a 10k range it hits 14k extra damage/second, a 10k range will already do 200k/second). 30 SP at such a low level is much better spent getting 45% avoid or getting higher MW.
    My build went/will go:
First, 1 Triple Throw, 1 Shadow Stars, 1 Venomous Stars.
Then, 1 Shadow Shifter, Max Triple Throw.
    Then, 19 Maple Warrior.
Then, 4 Shadow Stars, 10 Expert Throwing Star Handling.
    Then, Max Shadow Shifter.
    Then, Max Venomous Star.
    Lastly, Max Shadow Stars.

For a sometimes-training + usually-bossing NL who generally isnt in a party with MW. NL builds can be pretty much anything though, so put SP wherever you see fit.

~NOTE~I only went to Lvl 135 on both Training and Bossing skill builds because 4th job is all about preferences. You may enjoy using one skill over another so experiment with all the skills and find a build that works for you. If you don't find one that suits you best, I recommend the Training build because most Maplers can't get into Boss runs at a fairly low level.~NOTE~

    Conclusion.
Well, there you have it everyone. There are the skill builds from when you start being a Thief all the way to last job advancement. I'll be keeping up with this guide and answering as many questions as I can. If you notice any mistakes I've made, please, point them out and I'll fix them asap.

Default Re: Big Bang Assassin Guide

For my second job build I started off the same as you (maxed critical) then I maxed Mastery right after I maxed Critical following that was Haste. Then I put 12 on Shadow Resistance. Max Drain and then now I'm raising Booster.
    Level 30: Claw Mastery (1)
    Level 31: Mastery (3) Critical (1)
    Level 32: Critical (4)
    Level 33: Critical (7)
    Level 34: Critical (10)
    Level 35: Critical (13)
    Level 36: Critical (16)
    Level 37: Critical (19)
    Level 38: Critical (22)
    Level 39: Critical (25)
    Level 40: Critical (28)
    Level 41: Critical (30) Mastery (4)
    Level 42: Mastery (7)
    Level 43: Mastery (10)
    Level 44: Mastery (13)
    Level 45: Mastery (16)
    Level 46: Mastery (19)
    Level 47: Mastery (20) Haste (2)
    Level 48: Haste (5)
    Level 49: Haste (8)
    Level 50: Haste (11)
    Level 51: Haste (14)
    Level 52: Haste (17)
    Level 53: Haste (20)
    Level 54: Shadow Resistance (3)
    Level 55: Shadow (6)
    Level 56: Shadow (9)
    Level 57: Shadow (12)
    Level 58: Drain (3)
    Level 59: Drain (6)
    Level 60: Drain (9)
    Level 61: Drain (12)
    Level 62: Drain (15)
    Level 63: Drain (18)
    Level 64: Drain (20) Booster (1)
    Level 65: Booster (4)
    Level 66: Booster (7)
    Level 67: Booster (10)
    Level 68: Booster (13)
    Level 69: Booster (16)
    Level 70: Booster (19)
The reason for this is that I booster at level 19-20 only extends time and not the speed. Haste, mastery, and critical is basic. If you're asking why only 12 shadow its because I find 6% Max HP is useful enough for me to train (when you start reaching higher levels you'll start funding yourself with equips that add def/hp/mp.)
