I know there already is tutorial on this, but I created this one for another forum that I'm on, and after I posted it, someone convinced my to post it here, as well. I mean, either way, two tuts can't hurt anyone, right? It's not that difficult, pretty well the same information on both. Well, let's get started.
Hello everyone, this is Death, and I will be making a tutorial on how to get players IPs on xbox live.
Once you get their IP, you can trace it, to find out the general location in which they live, but most people DDoS the IP, to remove the player from the game, to ensure a quick victory. =)
That will be a separate tutorial, though.
Ok, well, to use Cain and Abel, you are first going to want to download it.
Firstly, you are going to want to go to this link:
[Dear Visitor, you're restricted from viewing links until you are registered & logged on.

You will see a page, with a black background, that gives a description of Cain and Abel, and what it does. It also shows you two download links. You will want to click on the bottom one, the one that isn't discontinued.
Like This:
Just click next on every option you get, pretty standard, and also remember to install the WinPCap driver.
After you are done, open up the program, as an administrator, from wherever you downloaded the program to.
You will be presented with the main interface.
Click on the tab at the top that says "Configure".
Like This:
After you click that, a popup box should appear, that is titled "Configuration Dialog".
There might be a few devices on your network, but they have IP addresses of 0.0.0.0
Click on the device name that actually has an IP address other than these, and after you are done that, make sure to check off "Don't use promiscuous mode" at the bottom of the box.
Finally, click "Apply", then "Ok".
Like this:
After you do this, you will have to click on the "Sniffer" tab, right at the top of the page.
Like this:
Now, you have to click anywhere in the white box, and then the blue plus sign will highlight. You then click the blue plus sign.
Like this:
Now a popup box will pop up, titled "MAC Address Scanner".
Just click ok.
A box will appear saying "Sniffer must be activated first!" Just click the sniffer, located on the left side of the biohazard symbol, or on the right of the file symbol (the biohazard symbol is right below the "file" tab).
Re-do this process, with clicking in the box, clicking the blue plus, and scanning MAC addresses. (Sorry, I forgot about this at first... =/)
It will now scan for devices. When it is done, take note of the one that says "Microsoft Corporation" as it's OUI fingerprint. That is your Xbox360.
Next, click on the APR tab at the bottom of the page.
Now, click on the top box, not the bottom, and click on the blue plus again. The sniffer should be on, as well. I always keep mine on, just turn it on, if it isn't ever.
Now, here's the most important part. You have to click on your router IP, on the left side, then IPs will pop up on the right side of the box. You now want to click the IP that is your xbox, on the right side. It is the one that corresponds with the IP you wrote down, or just memorized, before, in this tutorial.
Like this:
Your router IP is going to be the shorter one, as you see in the picture.
(Note: You will have a MAC address for your router, I've just been removing it)
After you have clicked your router IP, then your xbox IP, just click ok.
Congratulations! You can now successfully get players IPs that you are playing with in-game, that are in a party chat with you, video chat, or private chat.
All you have to do now, is every time you want to see players' IPs, just click the biochemical symbol, or the "Start/Stop APR" symbol. The players' IP's will appear in the bottom white box (sniffer has to be on before you start the APR, though).
The IPs of the actual players will be the IP's on the far right column, not the one where almost all the IP's are the same.
