Default [Question]Oh Dear.

Okay. So I had a copy of Win 7 on a DVD (not legit.) I installed it on my friend's HP mini. Worked fine. I wanted to install it on another netbook, but it kept giving me error 80070017. Apparently it's due to my DVD, but I'm just worried that if I burn another one, it won't work.

Is the w7 bit the same as your netbook processor bit?

Also, make sure it can support it, try using the upgrade advisor if anything.

Might not be correct, but looked it up. Was posted by a different user.

Re: Error code 80070017 during install
According to MS, more than three fourths of installation problems involving
file copy errors (yours) are resolved by burning the dvd at the slowest
possible speed.

Oh yeah, I think i've encountered the error before.
When burning Windows 7 to a CD/DVD you need to change the settings to how fast it is suppose to go. I guess your laptop doesn't handle DVD's/CD's that were burned too fast. Or whatever.
